Vaughan, Ontario — Teledyne Optech is pleased to announce that Asia Air Survey Co. (AAS), a leading Japanese consultant in the field of high quality spatial information, has enhanced their airborne surveying capabilities by upgrading to an ALTM Galaxy PRIME.
To predict and mitigate geomorphic hazards, often precipitated by seismic activity, AAS has successfully utilized airborne lidar technology to penetrate densely forested canopies and collect high-accuracy topo data. The new Galaxy PRIME adds further collection efficiency and vegetation penetration capability to AAS via a hardware upgrade of their current Galaxy T1000 sensor to PRIME performance. This performance improvement is part of AAS’s strategy to maintain a leadership position in high-density lidar surveying in Japan.
